About Us
"The Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco is organized for the purpose of aiding deserving Swiss nationals and their direct descendants.
... Funds may be used for such charitable and eleemosynary purposes as aid to Swiss nationals or their direct descendants in case of need or emergency, or as scholarships for Swiss nationals or their direct descendants, in an area contiguous to San Francisco ..."

2010 Board of Directors
The Board is made up of seven to eleven volunteers serving staggered 3-year terms. They share the responsibility for managing the Society and its activities.
Legal
The “Swiss Relief Society of San Francisco” was founded in 1886 and incorporated on January 19, 1901.
The organization's name was changed to “Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco” on February 18, 1987.
We are organized as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, Tax ID#: 94-6052328.
